What is

the lyno method

The Lyno Method is a complimentary health modality that uses a holistic assessment to identify the areas in the body where unresolved physical and emotional trauma cause restrictions in fascia mobility; the cause of chronic pain and recurring injuries. Our gentle technique, incorporating soft touch with breathing, fully anchored attention and active movement, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, specifically through the Polyvagal Structure and facilitates the release of these fascia restrictions, restoring the neural pathways necessary for optimum function.

DO YOU NEED LYNO?

Chronic pain and recurring injuries stem from the body’s retention of past injuries or excessive strain, predominantly stored within the fascia. When the mobility of the fascia is restricted, it leads to misalignment and impaired movement, ultimately causing overload and wear and tear – the underlying cause of chronic and recurring injuries. Through our comprehensive full body assessment, we precisely identify areas of movement restriction, allowing us to effectively facilitate the release of unresolved trauma. This process harmonizes the body and mind, restoring balance and maximizing overall functionality

MOBILITY ASSESSMENT

FROM THE TEST

The FROM TEST encompasses 50 different tests that evaluate the primary movements of all the major joints in the body. This examination is conducted at the start of every Lyno session and effectively guides us to the specific regions where fascial restrictions and unresolved trauma are housed within the body. We use the digital goniometer on the Lyno application to measure and all tests are done passively to focus on fascia and to exclude habitual compensation patterns.

FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT

THE BUNKIE TEST

The FROM TEST encompasses 50 different tests that evaluate the primary movements of all the major joints in the body. This examination is conducted at the start of every Lyno session and effectively guides us to the specific regions where fascial restrictions and unresolved trauma are housed within the body. We use the digital goniometer on the Lyno application to measure and all tests are done passively to focus on fascia and to exclude habitual compensation patterns.

THE TECHNIQUE

FACIA RELEASE

The LYNO technique employs targeted methods to address fascia restrictions caused by unresolved trauma, focusing on the parasympathetic nervous system. By utilizing light strokes over the skin or through a thin layer of clothing, accompanied by the client’s gentle breathing, focused attention, and active muscle movement in the specific area, we aim to enhance the tone of the Vagus nerve. This approach creates a pathway for the release of trapped trauma. By directing attention to these areas of trapped trauma, we guide the client through the process of self-regulation, facilitating the restoration of normal functional movement in previously limited areas.
